Breckenridge Florist Creates One-of-a-kind Floral Design for USA Procycling Race – The Breckenridge Stage //
This time last year we were well aware of the Procycling stage that was coming through Summit County from Steamboat to Breckenridge. We knew we had to be on the road to our destination weddings at Copper Mountain and Timber Ridge on top of the Keystone Resort. We knew the road was going to be closed for the riders to ride over Swan Mountain road with thousands of crazy mountain people, many of which happen to be cyclists too.
We had the iPhone set up to live stream the riders from the top of the mountain as the crew set up a wedding at Timber Ridge, one of Keystone’s more popular wedding venues that guests take two gondolas to get to. This year, it’s leaving from Breckenridge, heading south to Colorado Springs. So, we’re all good to go.
We will be a part of this year’s event by our donation of floral art for display throughout the tent near the Riverwalk in downtown Breckenridge. This is a sneak peek of what’s being created in the shop for this week’s event. Find more information about the Procycling race with these links.
Special events like the bike race decor request is a fresh opportunity to use the theme of the event to make some interesting, fun designs that could go well at a bike-friendly wedding too, now that I look at these more. We’ve even created space-themed flower decor (we used silver paint and unusual blooms like Protea). We are a creative company and no matter what your tastes, preferences and style are, we know how to work with those and make something unique for that night. That’s what we do.
Attention kid’s: please don’t try this at home. This is an experienced florist who knows how to hold a knife temporarily (just for a sec) in her left hand, while her right hand carefully places the flower stem. She will then handle the knife with her right hand to make any slight cuts using that knife. Once again, please be careful and treat the flowers nicely. They like that.
Dina attaches more flowers to a wheel donated to the cause. She requested lots of tropical and exotic blooms that you won’t see at our typical mountain wedding flower decor. Those girls like lots of wildflowers. Dina chose to take the design a different direction this time. I think it’s gonna look great.
